The Andes Hotel has teamed up with Blues and Americana artist George Kilby Jr. to produce “Broooklyn Rocks the Catskills” on July 24. This highligh event of the summer will follow in the tradition of the “Summershack” events behind the historic hotel, and will include a pig roast, beer specials, and 5 great musical acts, many of which hail from Brooklyn.
All the bands have ties to both the NYC area as well as the Catskills. The only newcomers to the Andes Hotel Stage are the rockers The Hordanos whose sound is “British invasion mixed with backwoods roadhouse and dumped in the Gowanus canal!”. They have been packing venues in Brooklyn and Manhattan for the last year. This will be their first upstate show. www.myspace.com/thehordanos
